Salary: UH8 £42,155 pa to £44,737 pa with potential to progress to £53,353 pa on achieving designated skills and experience

Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

Are you a CRM professional looking for an exciting new opportunity? Here at the University of Hertfordshire we are developing a new cutting-edge approach to CRM within Higher Education to deliver a world class student experience and create life-long relationships with our graduates.

The University of Hertfordshire is in the process of developing a Student CRM service built on Salesforce technologies structured into two phases: a student recruitment phase and a student retention and alumni phase.

We are looking to enhance the project team with a number of project staff on 2-year contracts to bring the first phase to production and then establish a rapid development and release approach for phase 2. The following posts are being sought at this time:

• CRM Project Manager

• CRM Business Analyst

• CRM Designer

• CRM Developer

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to create innovative solutions and play a pivotal role in managing, analysing, designing, and developing the CRM solution which aims to increase student recruitment and retention.

Successful candidates will have excellent opportunities to develop their skills and experience in Salesforce CRM and participation in the Salesforce Certification programme will be encouraged.

Main duties and responsibilities

Day to day management of the CRM project and project team including project leadership and direct line management of the CRM project staff.

Other duties include the establishment of project structures, stakeholder engagement, the preparation of business cases and scoping documents, project planning, financial management, supplier management and the preparation and presentation of project updates for programme management.

The role may include some hands-on system configuration, training, and service transition in coordination with the project team.

Skills and experience required

You will have substantial proven experience of managing a range of change initiatives and IT projects, on time and on budget. You will be able to demonstrate proven experience of managing matrix teams with staff drawn from both technical and business departments, have a strong track record of effective engagement with stakeholders and experience in resolving conflicting requirements.

You will also have very strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A good working knowledge of contemporary enterprise management information systems and services and a good understanding of the related business requirements and processes is assumed. Expertise in report writing, financial management and common computing applications is required.

Qualifications required

You will hold a minimum of a Degree or equivalent level qualification or proven experience at an appropriate level. You will also hold a recognised Project Management qualification at an appropriate level. Membership of a professional body, such as APM or BCS is desirable.
