Salary: UH8 £42,155 pa to £44,737 pa with potential to progress to £53,353 pa on achieving designated skills and experience

Are you a CRM professional looking for an exciting new opportunity? Here at the University of Hertfordshire we are developing a new cutting-edge approach to CRM within Higher Education to deliver a world class student experience and create life-long relationships with our graduates.

The University of Hertfordshire is in the process of developing a Student CRM service built on Salesforce technologies structured into two phases: a student recruitment phase and a student retention and alumni phase.

We are looking to enhance the project team with a number of project staff on 2-year contracts to bring the first phase to production and then establish a rapid development and release approach for phase 2. The following posts are being sought at this time:

• CRM Project Manager

• CRM Business Analyst

• CRM Designer

• CRM Developer

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to create innovative solutions and play a pivotal role in managing, analysing, designing, and developing the CRM solution which aims to increase student recruitment and retention.

Successful candidates will have excellent opportunities to develop their skills and experience in Salesforce CRM and participation in the Salesforce Certification programme will be encouraged.

Main duties and responsibilities

The duties will include acting as the main link between client department, a wider range of stakeholders, the Project Manager, specialist staff and external suppliers. You will co-ordinate a full review of business processes and the identification of future business requirements using a variety of methods to gather requirements such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, visits, use cases, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.

The role will include analysis and documentation of the required future business models, processes, services, workflows, roles and responsibilities and priorities and provide the link between the client department, CRM Project team and third-party developers / external suppliers throughout the development and implementation cycle.

Skills and experience required

You will have a high level of awareness or experience in CRM processes with substantial proven experience in reviewing, analysing and documenting complex business processes. Experience will also include writing requirements specifications for information systems; end to end experience of a major project lifecycle and establishing productive working relationships with client departments and end users.

A good understanding of developments in technology, standards and software development, and their application to the development and delivery of business systems is expected. Expertise in writing plans and reports, and guides and self-instructional materials for users is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving and product management skills are also essential.

Qualifications required

You will hold a minimum of a Degree or equivalent level qualification or proven experience at an appropriate level. A recognised Business Analysis qualification is desirable.
