Counselor
Felician University is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and student-focused counseling professional to serve as a key member of our Student wellness team. The Counselor provides individual and group counseling, workshops, discussion groups, and other programs for the students of Felician University. S/he responds to psychological crises, provides consultation and outreach to members of the Felician community who work with students and creates and delivers programs on all mental wellness topics. The Counselor serves as a member of the Student Affairs team, as well as collaborating with other cross- divisional colleagues as needed.

Required Education:
Master's degree in counseling, psychology or social work required
Qualifications:
Current NJ License as an LPC, LCSW or Psychologist; proven experience with a college population or adolescents/young adults; demonstrated experience with clients with substance abuse issues; proven experience with program implementation and coordination; knowledge of current health, mental health, and social issues on college campuses; demonstrated knowledge of, sensitivity to, and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated public speaking skills; ability to create and utilize electronic records and basic office technology; willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and values of the University.
