Job Summary: The Coordinator, Office of Student Identity and Engagement is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of programming and advising of student leaders for the Office of Student Identity and Engagement department. The Coordinator will also work with campus partners to further support diverse student populations.

Duties & Essential Job Functions: 1. Designs, develops, and implements campus-wide programs that support diverse student populations and programs that promote diversity, inclusiveness, and cultural awareness. 2. Assist in facilitating student trainings aimed to explore and affirm the intersectionality of identities and promote an overall inclusive campus environment. 3. Support student organizations directly and indirectly affiliated with OSIE across diverse identities and groups. 4. Serves on cross-department committees and supports programming efforts that align with department goals. 5. Develop and advise a leadership board to execute an annual student DEI retreat or conference and plan events. 6. Collaborates with Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies (CRES) and the Office of Diversity and Inclusive to ensure comprehensive yearlong programming addressing DEI issues and topics. 7. Maintains assessment databases by collecting information about programs, attendance or other items of interest through surveys, evaluations and assessments; assists in the completion of annual reports, and provide reports to the Director as requested. 8. Monitors expenses, submit bills and invoices for processing, track and reconcile expenditures for OSIE programming. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: • Master's degree required in related field (preferably higher education). • 2 years of experience working with students of color/underserved populations. Preferred Education & Experience: • Bilingual preferred. Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: • Valid Texas Driver's License. • Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements. Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training: • None Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Knowledge and skill in working with issues faced by underrepresented students. • Skill in advising student organizations. • Skill in team orientation and inclusive philosophy to support all University students, faculty and staff. • Skill in excellent oral and written communication. • Skill in use of computers/information technology understanding. • Ability to provide strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. • Ability in demonstrated public speaking. Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations): • Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information. • Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication. • Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions. • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting. • Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs. Work Environment: • Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours. • There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job. • The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
