Position Function:

Assist the Director of Football Recruiting with the overall coordination of recruiting operations.

Salary Grade: 12

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintaining accounting system for department/unit. May participate in accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, travel, personnel, or related functions and maintenance of records. • May assist in ordering, care, maintenance, and utilization of department equipment, supplies, and inventories. • Assists in preparation of financial statements such as billings, budgets, and cost reports • Assist with summer camps (organize one-day visits and Big Dawg camp); • Maintain/update recruiting books (general and individual); • May handle cash and cash related transactions, issues receipts, records and types money lists, and balances cash fund; enters cash transactions in ledgers and reconciles cash reports; prepares bank deposits. • Organize and assist with all Recruiting Visits. • Perform campus and athletic facility tours. • Assist Director of on-campus recruiting. • Other duties assigned by Head Coach and Director of Recruiting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field with one (1) year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with NCAA Division 1 institution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• General knowledge of University, SEC and NCAA policies and regulations. • Ability to communicate with various constituents, students, coaches, and administrators. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Outstanding interpersonal and interactive skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community. • Proficiency in the use of computer/social media, and communications support of the MSU Football program. • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. • Ability to work evenings and weekend hours.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• No unusual physical requirements. • Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility. • Frequent external imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict- resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis. • Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
