Position Summary

The Coordinator of Records & Exams will provide general support for all registrar led activities including administrative registration, grade submission, academic record keeping, processing of degree certification and verifications, and general communication of registrar-related deadlines and policies. In addition, this position has primary responsibility for coordinating and administering mid-and-end of semester exam processes. This position will consistently utilize and serve as functional lead for data quality control ensuring registration policies are communicated and adhered to. The Coordinator of Records & Exams will oversee a document management initiative and uphold compliance with and knowledge of FERPA and other state and federal regulations and University policies. The position requires knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, Law School programs and a basic understanding of the academic and administrative operations of higher education and FERPA.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus several years' experience in higher education
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
  • Strong analytical and data skills, to include proficiency with information and data management applications: databases, spreadsheets, queries, reports, and word processing
  • Effective communication, time management and decision-making skills that demonstrate the ability to manage expectations, meet the needs of customer base, and work productively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative; must be detail oriented and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience operating a variety of systems independently and simultaneously, keeping accurate records and managing the flow of information
  • Ability to learn new computer software quickly
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus several years' relevant experience in student services or other high public contact department within higher education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of exam platform, administration, and procedures
  • Advanced and in-depth use of Banner or other student information system that includes understanding the environment and structure
  • Knowledge of FERPA
