Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of general biology and microbiology. Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures. Possess an excellent knowledge of general biology and microbiology. Must have computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs. Knowledge of hazardous material handling techniques, strong supervisory skills. Maintains all bacterial cultures used for teaching and research; orders new and replacement cultures as necessary.

Monitors and maintains inventory of laboratory supplies; orders any necessary supplies.

Oversees the organization and provision of teaching materials used in laboratory including handouts and syllabi.
