The Office of Contract Administration supports the mission of the University by facilitating business contract processing, routing and administration for the UNT Health Science Center in a professional and timely manner, in accordance with State of Texas Laws and institutional policies.

Position Overview

The Office of Contract Administration at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Contracts Coordinator.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Managing all aspects of the University's contracting function for business contracts including negotiations, review of contract terms, facilitating approvals as necessary; compliance with University policies and all applicable federal and state regulations, monitoring contract extensions and/or renewals, notifying contract requestor of required actions; maintaining accurate contract records; tracking the status of assigned contracts; facilitating contract closeouts; contract terminations, and contract execution while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Create and maintain relationships with legal team, University stakeholders and external parties and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning assigned or delegated contracts.
  • Performs compliance audits on contracts.
  • Ensure that fully executed contracts are signed and stored in contract electronic repository and designated folders.
  • Handle multiple projects in fast paced team environment.
  • Prepares standard and ad-hoc business contract related reports as needed and submit drafts, all reports and documents in a timely manner.
  • Develop, prepare and submit legislative, financial and data reports on contract status, expenditure, vendors utilization, vendor performance and contract type as required, to the appropriate requestor, to support business continuity transparency and regulatory reporting requirements. Examine contract data reports for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Gathering, compiling, fact-checking raw data from pertinent individuals and/or databases and reporting on insights obtained, which might be utilized to inform business strategies within division.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred Qualifications

    Prefer experience with the State of Texas, PeopleSoft software and Jaggaer (contract modules). One certification (for example CPPB, CTP, CTPM, CTCD, CTCM, CPP, etc.)

    Required License / Registration / Certification Work Schedule

    Work Schedule: M-F, 8-5, with the possibility of partial remote schedule with supervisor approval.
