Continuing Education Operations Support Coordinator
Category/Level: PSS/3
Basic Function: Serve as subject matter expert and coordinator for designated Continuing Education programming. This position also provides data support for the department.
Salary & Benefits: Salary of $35,800 - $43,000 based on experience. Benefits include Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance; eye care, dental, life & disability insurance; paid vacation; and a choice of IPERS or TIAA retirement plans.
Qualifications Required: Associates degree plus two years' related work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to enter data quickly and accurately in Continuing Education and state and federal databases. Ability to manage logistics for Driver Improvement and School Bus Driver courses. Demonstrated ability working in Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer relations and attention to detail. Preferred: Meet "Required" qualifications plus Diploma or Degree in Office Technology or a related field.
Responsibilities - Process Continuing Education transportation program registrations received in Lumens. - Enter all scheduled CDL testing sessions into national database, CSTIMS. - Reconcile registration fees daily. - Assist the Continuing Education program managers with coordination of classes. - Enter and maintain student completion data in Iowa Department of Transportation databases. - Work independently and possess strong organizational and time management skills with ability to pay attention to detail. - Manage Driver Improvement and School Bus Driver programs and ensure they are continually meeting state standards. - Responsible for recruitment of and management of Continuing Education transportation instructors, including but not limited to: hiring, orientation, induction and evaluation. - Maintain good working relationships with all Continuing Education staff, instructors, and other College employees. - Create and distribute certificates for completed courses. - Process payroll in Lumens for transportation instructors. - Create and maintain excellent customer service relationships. - Use critical thinking skills to solve problems and make appropriate decisions based on Continuing Education processes and procedures. - Maintain confidentiality of student records. - Assist in the implementation of the LERN model. - Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
