  • Professional Associate position in the Centre of excellence for advanced materials and sensing devices (ZCI CEMS), research unit Physics and technology of ion beams, Laboratory for Nuclear Physics of the Division of Experimental Physics, for work on the development of accelerator technologies, nuclear electronics, and data acquisition systems for analysis of signals from radiation detectors.

    Eligibility criteria

    In addition to the general conditions for employment, applicants must meet the requirements stipulated in Article 43 in the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act. In addition, the following material should be attached to the application form: resume, evidence of the required academic degree and evidence on the fulfilment of other requirements. Appointment to a professional position is for a temporary period until 31st October 2022, with probation period of 6 months.

    The successful candidate should have a degree in physics.

    Specific Requirements

    Candidates should have affinity to experimental work in nuclear physics and accelerator technology, experience with particle detectors and electronics for signal processing and data acquisition, as well as active knowledge of written and spoken English. Preference is given to candidates with experience on silicon detectors and large multiparameter data acquisition systems.
