Create and contribute content to a broad range of College communications channels, including publications, web, social media, newsletters, events, promotional materials, and announcements. Serve as College storyteller, with responsibility to engage, inspire, and communicate about and to the Larner College of Medicine community. Undertake web projects that align with strategic messaging and goals. Serve as project manager on digital communication initiatives, including web and social platforms. Develop and implement communications recommendations and channels, and assess efficacy and update plans to accommodate changing priorities. Contribute to the realization of institutional goals through messaging as determined by leadership through all communications channels and activities. Collaborate with College, Department, and Division colleagues to implement effective communications strategies to achieve goals. Serve as lead social media manager.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelors degree in marketing/communications/ journalism and three to four years of related experience required. Effective writing skills with the ability to explain the complex in simple terms and to tailor content to different audiences. Demonstrated strength in development of content, implementation of events, and experience communicating effectively in a digital environment. Experience with project management, communications and customer service skills across a diverse group of constituents, including academic and administrative leadership. Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects.
