The ETSU Department of Computing seeks a Lecturer who will offer instruction
at ETSU's main campus in Johnson City, TN. ETSU offers a Bachelor of Science
in Computing with concentrations in Computer Science, Cybersecurity & Modern
Networks, Information Systems, and Information Technology. The Department also
offers two M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Information Systems, and a
graduate certificate in Data Analytics.
Ideal candidates will possess a passion for teaching undergraduate students a
broad range of Computing subjects. This non-tenure-track position is a twelve-
month renewable appointment in which the faculty member teaches eight courses
during each twelve-month period. In addition, the lecturer will participate in
service and outreach activities that support the Department of Computing.
The position is contingent upon sufficient funding.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Primary areas of teaching emphasis include a broad range of undergraduate
courses in Computing. A focus on programming, software development, and
software engineering is desired.
A master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Information Systems, or a related discipline must be completed by the
appointment start date.
Good written and oral English skills
Able to begin work in July 2022
Previous higher-education teaching experience, including as a graduate
