Offer Description

The successful candidates will be tasked with conducting academic research into the justice system, criminology and law, organising scientific conferences and performing additional organisational functions at the Institute.

Skills/Qualifications

The competition is open to candidates who satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

have the postdoctoral degree (doktor habilitowany) obtained or recognised in the Republic of Poland or at least a PhD degree in a case of candidates permanently living abroad;

have the PhD degree obtained or recognised in the Republic of Poland;

have a fluency in Polish, written and spoken;

have not been convicted by a final court judgment for an intentional offence;

be able to fully exercise civil and citizen's rights.

Specific Requirements

Candidates must deliver the following documents:

a copy of the diploma or other document confirming awarding the postdoctoral degree;

a copy of the diploma or other document confirming awarding the PhD;

the completed form of “Application for the post of an institute's professor at the Section of Economic Studies of the Justice System”, (the form can be downloaded from www. iws.gov.pl). The form must include the following statements:

- the statement that the candidate has no civil record of convictions for intentional offences;

- the statement that the candidate has not violated academic ethics, in particular in the matters described in Article 56 (3) of the Research Institutes Act of 30 April 2010;

- the statement that the candidate is able to fully exercise civil and citizen's rights;

- consent to the processing of the candidate's personal data included in the application for the purposes of the competition.

Eligibility criteria

Preference will be given to candidates who:

have significant academic achievements in law, criminology, justice system analysis,

who know English to a degree enabling the use of foreign literature, publishing and public speaking, knowledge of other languages will be an additional advantage,

have experience in organising research projects and scientific conferences, managing and participating in research teams,

have knowledge of research and analysis methods and techniques and the ability to use them in practice,

have the ability to guarantee on-time execution of research work and have time for performing additional organizing functions at the Institute of Justice.

Selection process

The recruitment procedure will be conducted according to the Competition regulations established by the Head of the Institute of Justice. The Competition regulations are available on the website of the Institute
