Job Duties and Responsibilities

Community Engagement Manager (Full-time employee) – The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities to support the Format:

Strategize, design, and implement a plan to build awareness of Grantee's new Format, with an emphasis on targeting Afro-American and Latino/Hispanic communities.

Develop digital outreach campaigns that will grow Grantee's social media exposure and app downloads.

Work with Digital Producer to develop Online and social content, as well as oversee the production of video content, on all platforms to build and engage new audiences.

Partner with community organizations to host remote broadcasts, and manage productions from venues and festivals around the state.

Identify opportunities to share and cultivate the Format.

Collaborate with General Manager and Development Assistant to identify opportunities for support.

Serve as a liaison with the local music and arts community to develop and implement the Community Engagement Plan.

Implement at least eight (8) community engagement events where WJSU Urban Alternative On-Air talent will host or participate.

Work with station staff and volunteers to promote events and ensure the greatest attendance.

Track attendance at events and collect feedback from attendees.
