Job description

Communications and Digital Content Intern

Grade 2 (£12 hourly)

Part time, 21 hours per week

Fixed Term (for a period of 1 year)

OPEN TO ABERTAY MARKETING/BUSINESS FINAL YEAR STUDENTS AND 2023 GRADUATES ONLY

Abertay University is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and skilled current or recent graduate of the University as a Communications and Digital Content Intern, to work 21 hours per week for a fixed period of 12 months.

This exciting position is open only to current final year students (due to graduate Summer 2024) and 2023 graduates of Abertay University's Business Management or Marketing programmes.

The role will involve working on internal communication, press and social media projects and campaigns.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer the position to previously employed interns.

The internship is based in the External and Corporate Relations (ECR) directorate and will span work related to communications, marketing and student recruitment.

Reporting to the Communications and Public Affairs Manager, you will write engaging copy for the University intranet and external website, and source and create digital content for key projects.

The role requires a digital native with strong writing and verbal communication skills, a ‘can-do' and flexible attitude to work and a willingness to take on work across ECR as and when required. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly proactive and used to working independently.

The role is office-based and remote working will not be possible, although a flexible approach to working days/hours will be considered.

A full candidate brief can be found above, which details the job description, person specification, and application details.

If you believe you have the skills and experience for this exciting and challenging post, please submit your application by clicking on the apply online below.

Please note that we will only accept applications through our online recruitment system.
