The College of Engineering and Mines is looking for adjunct faculty/part-time instructors. Duties to include: instructing and advising students in the related area, developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and exams as needed. The subject areas include, but are not limited to: civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, geological engineering, mechanical engineering, mining engineering, mineral preparation engineering, and petroleum engineering. Classes can meet during the daytime, evening, and/or weekends, flexible schedules are available.
Duties:The incumbent will be responsible for teaching one or more undergraduate and/or preparatory courses in a manner consistent with the specific course content guide. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold office hours appropriate for the course(s) being taught.Essential

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students. Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specific course.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Doctorate degree in related field is preferred for upper division (300 and 400 level) courses.
