Working Title CNA Instructor Part-Time - PecosPosition Status Part Time Department Continuing Education General Summary
CNA Part-Time Instructor (LVN or RN Required) Certified Nurse Aide instructor needed with at least 3 years of LVN or RN experience in a Long Term Care facility setting. Resume must list the addresses of the Long Term Care facilities where they have previously worked. CNA instructor will be responsible for preparing students for their CNA exam and the field. Instructors will be responsible for no more than 10 students per cohort, and will work with students over a one-semester period. Instructors will perform classroom portion of the program as well as accompany students to clinical sites. The class will be held in the evenings, twice a week from 6-9pm and clinicals will take place over 2 weekends (Saturday- Sunday from 7:30-5:30) at an assisted living facility. Teaching experience is not required, but any teaching and/or training experience is considered. Instructor will use Blackboard in addition to face-to-face teaching. Position is strictly part-time with a maximum of 19 hours per week. Employment is contingent on enrollment per term.

Employment is contingent on enrollment per term. • Teaches the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog and relates the instruction to careers and employer expectations. • Implements evaluation for outcomes assessment, and achieves established results while maintaining college standards of student satisfaction. • Works creatively and collaboratively with classes to ensure student persistence. • Begin and end each class at the designated times, providing a full period of instruction. • Responsible for keeping the classroom and/or laboratory clean, organized, and ready for the next user. • Provide support to students requiring additional academic assistance and tutoring. • Submits at designated times, grades for all students on the class roster. • Accurately maintains attendance records in accordance with the Attendance Policy, submits class roster daily, maintains a separate record of attendance and grades that is clearly labeled and turned in at the end of the term. • Calls all students who are absent and submits written reports of pertinent information to the Program Director. • May be required to attend adjunct instructor trainings, in-service meetings, and other college events. • Other duties as assigned.
