About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Melbourne Dental School's teaching team as a Clinical Tutor or Clinical Lecturer. Here you get to play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of oral health and dental professionals success. As a key member of our dedicated team, you will actively contribute to clinical learning and teaching activities, fostering the development of person-centred evidence-based dentistry skills. You'll have the chance to engage with a diverse range of students in the various degree programs, including Bachelor of Oral Health and Doctor of Dental Surgery, while also participating in a dynamic environment that encourages continuous professional development and innovation in dental education.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop, contribute and/or support subject coordinators and/or content convenors in the successful delivery of teaching to a high standard.
Contribute to the development of digital assets for learning and teaching.
Prepare and mark assessments and consult with students as required.
Provide clinical practice leadership and education to coursework students, and at times provide coverage for subject coordinators and content convenors.
Who We Are Looking For
You have exceptional communication skills, can connect with diverse students and patients. You excel both independently and as a team player in a coordinated teaching setting.
You will also have:
A primary dental qualification registrable with the Dental Board of Australia and current AHPRA registration (No previous or current AHPRA conditions).
Demonstrated clinical experience and clinical practice skills supported by contemporary evidence-based dental practice.
A proven record of success in ongoing extra-mural clinical practice and continuing professional development.
Highly motivated to develop skills consistent with teaching excellence or demonstrated clinical teaching experience specifically with students undertaking tertiary dental education.

The Melbourne Dental School has a strong tradition in dental research and an established international reputation in several research areas. Research in the School is an integral component of staff and student activities underpinning both the undergraduate and graduate curricula. The major research activities of the school are conducted via three divisions and four major research groups, which range translational biomedical science to clinical studies, pedagogical research.
