Applications are invited for a part-time (0.5FTE, 18.25 hpw) Clinical Trial Assistant within the stroke research team in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge. This postholder will work primarily on the Multicentre DNA Lacunar 2 stroke project. DNA lacunar 2 recruits patients with MRI confirmed lacunar stroke from about 50 centres throughout the UK. The aim is to collect a well phenotyped cohort whose DNA samples can be used to identify genes underlying lacunar stroke. Lacunar stroke is caused by cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) which causes a quarter of all strokes and is the major cause of vascular cognitive impairment.
The post holder will play a key role in the study under the supervision of the Study Manager data management including checking data, liaising with sites to obtain missing data, and entering data into and maintaining study databases. They will join an Internationally renown stroke research team at the University of Cambridge.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 November 2024 in the first instance.
