The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences are recruiting a Clinical Skills and Simulation Technician. We are a passionate and vibrant community of staff and students, brought together by a fascination with the living world and a desire to understand and care for human beings.

Healthcare simulation is a fusion of healthcare and technology. Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) is a fast-developing area of adult education with many new technologies which enhance learning platforms as well as new modalities such as Virtual Reality. This position will enable you to support quality simulation education experiences which will allow healthcare professionals to enhance their individual and team performance, improving patient safety and patient outcomes.

Working week

Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

Total hours per week: 37, hours may vary depending on business demands

What you will be doing?

Prepare, set out and clear away practicals to support the designated programme areas. To assist with classes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, give specialist advice and support to other staff, researchers and students (undergraduates and postgraduates). To undertake demonstrations and provide technical support for practical classes in Simulation Suites and to instruct and supervise project students and research groups. To act as first line communication, and have an overview of the OSCE Admin team, motivate, give instruction and monitor performance.
