Since its inception in 2015, the School of Medicine has grown significantly,
with now more than 1,500 UK and international students studying on a range of
programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and motivated individual
to join our team in the leadership of our newly established postgraduate
Digital Health programme.
The postholder will act as course lead on the School's postgraduate MSc in
Digital Health programme, initially ensuring the fulfilment of the academic
quality assurance requirements, annual and periodic monitoring, review
requirements, and monitoring of student achievement for the current programmes
in the area. The postholder will lead on the interaction with various
stakeholders and contribute where possible to other postgraduate programmes
delivery, business planning, development, approval, validation,
implementation, review and evaluation of potential new programmes for the

the leadership and management of relevant courses including the quality
assurance and enhancement in Higher Education, including validation and review
processes. Candidates must have experience of working with Professional
Statutory and Regulatory Bodies in health and education.
The successful applicant will have a degree in Medicine, GMC registration, and
a strong record of successful academic leadership including programme and
curriculum development, planning and delivery. They will have extensive
experience of teaching in Higher Education, with excellent interpersonal and
communication skills and an ability to build and maintain effective corporate
relationships. Strong organisational skills are required for this post, with
the determination, drive and resilience to see processes through to completion
and to the highest level of detail.
