The Clinical Research Navigator serves as an institutional resource for investigators and research staff to advance their health sciences research. Help researchers to guide and facilitate the flow of clinical research protocols, from concept to initial approval, implementation, analysis, and publication of data. Think strategically, work collaboratively and use a consultative approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Utilize knowledge of services and key contacts for all research administrative departments and knowledge of basic research and hospital practices to facilitate the conduct of high-quality, efficient research activities.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Master's degree in Health Sciences or related field and three years' experience in clinical research operations and regulatory affairs or related area required. Thorough understanding of basic, clinical & translational research operations and regulatory processes required.
Desirable Qualifications
Research Administration experience desirable. In-depth knowledge of the appropriate referrals available to support: Grant preparation and funding, IRB preparation, Core Lab resources and access, Biostatistical analysis and Data management, Clinical research Training and Education, Protocol design, Research coordination, Project Management, Ethics consultation, Recruitment Plans, Subject registration, Study Budgets, Billing Compliance, Collaborations with UVM Medical Center, Monitoring, Audits, FDA regulations.
