The Faculty of Health Sciences has recently undergone changes to consolidate and align the clinical placement activities from each School into a centralised team. The Clinical Placement Team supports approximately 8,000 students each year who collectively attend more than 18,000 clinical placements annually, liaising with more than 2,500 host organisations across hospital, other healthcare and community contexts. The team are responsible for supporting students, academic staff and providing a first point of contact for enquiries from our host organisations.
The Clinical Placement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a team of Placement officers to ensure effective support for the Faculty's clinical placements program. The position will work collaboratively with academic course/unit coordinators to maintain the Faculty's relationships with Industry fieldwork partners.
As Coordinator you will be responsible for operational management of the program, including organising and overseeing the work priorities of the Placement Officers and influence continuous improvement of processes. You will act as the day-to-day interface between all parties, so experience in stakeholder engagement will set you up for success. Strong skills in organising workload across a team will be highly regarded. Previous experience in healthcare, clinical placements and tertiary education would all be highly regarded
