The central diagnostic laboratory of the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Bern, Switzerland, is looking for a locum, ideally ACVP or ESVCP board- certified or eligible, to provide support for our cytology service for multiple weeks throughout 2023 and possibly beyond.
Our laboratory provides diagnostic services for our teaching hospitals as well as external clients, with a focus on dogs and cats, with fewer equine and rare farm animal and exotics. Reports are written in English; german and/or French language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
We are looking to cover a total of 6-8 weeks, but are very flexible timing wise; coming for individual weeks or blocks of several weeks is possible, and we will gladly also consider applications for shorter commitments. We offer a competitive salary, dependent on qualifications and working experience.
The vet school is situated in the city of Bern, the capital of Switzerland, which boasts a picturesque historic old town and is surrounded by lush countryside, with beautiful mountains within 1-2 hours by car or public transport.
