Job Description Summary
The Clinical/Lab Teaching Assistant is responsible for assisting with the supervision of nursing students in the clinical environment, evaluation of clinical performance, and grading of clinical assignments all under the supervision of an assigned Master's or Doctorate-prepared faculty.
The position will also include assisting students with patient care skill practice in onsite skills labs.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in Nursing OR Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas (Submission of certification required).
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare provider certification (Submission of certification is required).
Current negative Tuberculin (TB) and other required immunizations as stipulated by healthcare agencies. (Documentation of current negative TB Test and other immunizations are required prior to the first day of employment).
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
Three (3) years clinical work experience.
Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.

Supports processes for maintaining and repairing skills lab equipment. Provides assistance to faculty and students in the skills/simulation lab setting.
