Job Summary

Michigan Medicine's Kellogg Eye Center is dedicated to improving lives around the world by enhancing vision. Located in culturally rich and diverse Ann Arbor, the department has over 100 clinical and research faculty and more than 500 employees in 10 different locations in Southeast Michigan. The department is deliberate in fostering a culture centered around the guiding principles of teamwork, caring, integrity, and innovation.

We are seeking to enhance our faculty by adding an optometrist to join our team of providers in a dynamic and creative academic environment. Proficiency in primary eye care is required. Experience in specialty contact lens fitting and/or low vision is a plus with an opportunity to learn from seasoned experts in this area. This position is in a community office. Applicants should be willing to work in more than one office setting, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.

This faculty appointment in the University of Michigan Medical School as well as a clinician at Michigan Medicine is ideal for those who thrive in seeing challenging cases, interprofessional relationships, and academic prowess. Required Qualifications

Must hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical license in the State of Michigan. Completed specialty training is highly desirable. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
