Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for an
clinical faculty appointment in the Orthodontics Program in the Division of
Craniofacial and Surgical Care at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.
Responsibilities include providing didactic instruction and clinical
supervision for advanced education and pre-doctoral students. This position
will also participate in the Dental Faculty Practice.
A record of scholarly activity is desirable, and the pursuit of scholarly
activity is expected. Attractive opportunities for collaboration exist within
the dental school, the academic health center, and the greater University. The
ideal candidate must have a demonstrated record of achievement as an excellent
clinician, teacher, mentor, leader, and care provider.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates must have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental
Medicine (DMD), or equivalent degree and be board-certified as a Diplomate
of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Evidence of strong clinical practice for a minimum of 5 years either in an
academic or private practice setting.
