The HSC simulation center serves all academic programs within the University and a growing network of community stakeholders and is seeking an experienced Simulation Clinical Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience supporting healthcare simulation, superior customer service skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
Position Overview
The clinical educator uses professional skills and clinical knowledge in collaboration with staff, faculty, and leadership to develop learning activities in support of a healthier community. The clinical educator will develop or contribute to educational programs for a wide variety of learners including students, healthcare professionals, and the community at large.

Job Duties
o
Conduct needs assessments to determine priorities for education and gaps in evidence. Collaborates with key stakeholders to improve simulation-based training and align with standards of best practice.

Create, deliver, and evaluate faculty development opportunities in simulation- based education.
o
Use valid and reliable methods to evaluate and measure processes and outcomes. Involve learners and stakeholders in the evaluation process. Work collaboratively to revise learning activities based on evaluation data and disseminate the learning activities' results to stakeholders.
o
Strategically develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external individuals and organizations to enhance and improve continuing education activities provided to the communities served by UNTHSC.
