The Department of Communication Disorders seeks a non-tenure track, full-time, nine-month Clinical Assistant Professor to provide clinical supervision and clinical education for graduate students in speech-language pathology, with the possibility of a three-month summer appointment to be determined annually based on departmental needs. Responsibilities include clinical supervision and teaching, scholarship, and service at the department, college, and university levels. The selected candidate will be expected to perform duties at the Round Rock campus. Salary will be commensurate with experience. All positions are subject to availability of funds.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a graduate degree in Communication Disorders or related field.
  • Candidates must be eligible for State of Texas licensure in speech-language pathology and hold current ASHA certification.
  • Candidates must have a minimum 5 years of experience in clinical supervisor/clinical educator.
  • Candidates must have a record of accomplishments in teaching, service, and scholarship.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in adult neurogenic and swallowing disorders preferred.
  • Experience in building and promoting community relationships and partnerships in clinical or academic settings.
  • Experience in an institution of higher education in Teaching, Service and Scholarship
  • Bilingual/multilingual
  • Experience with telehealth/telepractice.
  • Hold SLPD or Ph.D.
