Position Overview

The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry (OMFS/HD) at the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) is seeking to fill a full-time (1.0) 12-month clinical track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor.

This position gives you the chance to positively influence the oral surgical education of future generations of oral healthcare professionals through your clinical care and instruction. You will contribute to building and strengthening our team through full participation in OMFS departmental activities. You will impact the trajectory of our students through student clinical and didactic teaching and staffing resident clinics. Close working relationships with allied health providers exists and opportunities for collaborative teaching and research are available.

Basic Qualifications

Full consideration will be given to candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently has a DDS from a CODA-accredited dental school
  • Currently fully trained in an ABOMS-accredited OMFS residency program with extensive training in pediatric and adult dentoalveolar surgery
  • Will have Indiana full dental licensure by the position start date (July 1, 2023, or sooner)
  • Currently has strong clinical skills and is creative and innovative in providing clinical care and instruction
