The University of Houston College of Nursing at Sugar Land is seeking
outstanding candidates with exceptional clinical practice, scholarship,
excellence in teaching, and a clear commitment to enhancing the diversity of
the faculty, graduate, and undergraduate student populations. The anticipated
start date for qualified applicants for the non-tenure promotion-eligible
Clinical Assistant Professor position begins January 2022.
Faculty responsibilities include ongoing curriculum development and
evaluation; classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate program
using direct on-site, simulation, on-line, and distance education strategies;
some travel; participation in college and university committees; engaging in
scholarship, service and academic advising.

Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate specialty areas is a plus. We

1. Doctorate in nursing or related field.
2. Master's degree in nursing from accredited school of nursing.
3. Candidate must possess licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.
4. Minimum 2 years clinical experience.
5. Excellent clinical and communication skills.
6. Teaching experience required.
