General Description / Primary Purpose
The Department of Clinical and Applied Movement Sciences in the Brooks College of Health at the University of North Florida (UNF) invites applications for a full-time 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Athletic Training program. The faculty member will join an engaged group of faculty in a successful and established Athletic Training program.

Essential Duties
Job Function
Responsibilities include teaching in the graduate Athletic Training Program; completing administrative and accreditation duties associated with the Program; mentoring/advising students; conducting research; and performing service to the university, college, department, and profession.

Qualified candidates for the Clinical Assistant Professor position must have: -An earned doctoral degree in biomechanics, exercise science, sports medicine, or a related field.
-Experience with administrative responsibilities in an Athletic Training Program and familiarity with the current CAATE accreditation standards.
-Previous full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities in a Professional Athletic Training Program.
-Evidence of an ongoing agenda of scholarship.
-Previous clinical practice experience as an Athletic Trainer.
-Certification and good standing with the Board of Certification.
-Current Florida licensure or eligible for athletic training licensure in Florida.
This is not a remote position. The successful candidate will be required to work at the UNF campus in Jacksonville, Florida.
Departmental Requirements
Preference will be given to applicants with: -Record of diverse teaching experiences and contemporary expertise in athletic training; special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in orthopedic examination, therapeutic interventions, and gross anatomy.
-Record of student capstone or research project mentorship.
-Evidence of experience with program directorship and/or program administration.
-Evidence of professional service.
-Ability to work collegially with faculty, staff, and students of diverse backgrounds.
