Work schedule will include Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sunday afternoons in the summer months, based on confirmed wedding reservations.

Summary

The Chapel Wedding Director provides hands-on support to the wedding parties with confirmed wedding reservations. This includes an initial planning session (8weeks before the wedding date), a customized wedding rehearsal, and assistance on the day of the wedding ceremony. The Wedding Director ensures that the Wedding Parties understand and comply with all Chapel regulations for weddings, but also provides a calming, generous presence to ensure the best possible experience for all.

Activities Performed

Each wedding requires five activities conducted by the Wedding Director

  • Regular review of all reservations

  • Initial Consultation

  • Wedding Rehearsal

  • Wedding Ceremony

  • Request for evaluation

  • Candidate Preferences

    The position of Wedding Director requires skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree.

    In addition, the following skills are necessary for a successful candidate application: exemplary communications skills, both in person and in writing, attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability in high stress moments, commitment to the best wedding practices established by the Chapel. The Wedding Director is a public face for the Chapel's mission and ministry and as such is expected to abide by the university's values of respect, trust,inclusion, discovery and excellence.

    Minimum Qualifications Education

    Work requires a knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through a high school education.

    Experience

    Work requires three months of clerical or general office support experience to become familiar with activities involved in providing routine clerical support. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
