Clerical Assistant in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 523415) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have completed Form 5, preferably 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, good telephone manner with effective communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience in medical research or medical-related clerical work would be an advantage.

The appointee will provide clerical support, handle patients' reports and records, prepare various documents, answer enquires, assist in clinic, and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
