The University's facilities have undergone major transformation within the last ten years, bringing a new level of service to the local community, staff and students. Estates and Property Services is the largest support service within RGU, with approximately 200 staff involved in the day to day management and development of the University.
The post is based at Woolmanhill Student Accommodation but staff may be deployed as and when required to different sites within university portfolio. As a cleaner you will expected to work effectively within an experienced team ensuring the highest levels of cleaning specifications and required Covid 19 guidelines are met across our facilities. A uniform is worn while on duty, the uniform and relevant PPE is supplied by the University.
The hours for this post are 15.14 hours per week Monday to Friday - Mon 0915-1305 and 0915-1205 Tues to Fri.
Experience in a similar role desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

RESPONSIBLE TO : Residences Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR : No supervisory responsibility
PURPOSE OF POST : Undertaking a full range of cleaning activities within Student Accommodation at Woolmahill and, if required, across all RGU Properties, to ensure that designated areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES :
Undertake cleaning duties within student accommodation
Undertake all cleaning requirements within the University's Covid 19 guidelines.
Undertake general cleaning of all fixtures and fittings within buildings.
Vacuum and use powered equipment where necessary.
Remove and dispose of all waste streams.
Ensures compliance with all relevant Health and Safety Rules and procedures.
Ensures security of areas being cleaned.
Undertake required training in relation to the role.
Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time.Person Specification
