We are dedicated to working in partnership with families to ensure a quality educational experience for their children. The ECC is a Reggio Emilia-inspired school, providing an emergent approach to educating children that is play-based and child-directed. This approach strives to develop a learning community committed to the co-construction of knowledge in the context of collaboration between parents, children, and teachers. Meaningful educational experiences are planned in a caring atmosphere to promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child. We believe that by encouraging self-expression and curiosity and by supporting the active exploration of the environment, both at home and at school, that children will develop a healthy self-image, a sense of responsibility and helpfulness, and that they will learn problem-solving and decision-making skills.
