St Crispin's Special School
Salary: £28113 - £42336
St Crispin's is a non-denominational special school for primary and secondary
pupils. This year we have three primary and six secondary classes. The school
meets the needs of learners with complex, long term additional support needs
who require a significantly modified learning environment. The needs of
learners are primarily associated with learning disabilities and Autism
We have recently moved into our brand new building at Burdiehouse Crescent
The new school has 12 classrooms and an Assessment Unit. There are dedicated
classrooms for Art, Music, Home Economics and PE, as well as a variety of
teaching/activity spaces e.g. sensory rooms, soft play areas, library,
swimming pool and ample outdoor space.
It is desirable that applicants should have experience working with children
with learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of
Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or
Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act
2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo
a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by
the City of Edinburgh Council.
