About the role

The School of Archaeology is looking to recruit a Chemistry Technician to join our small and friendly team in the The School of Archaeology, Research Laboratory for Archaeology -Oxford Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit (ORAU), based in the centre of Oxford. You will be able to cope with repetitive tasks on a daily/weekly basis in a timely manner. The laboratory is ISO-9001 accredited.

About you

You will be educated to A level or an equivalent technical education, you will have experience and good practical skills of working in a chemical or biological laboratory, the ability to communicate effectively including the ability to write up experimental results and the ability to troubleshoot problems with experiments and arrive at an appropriate solution. You will also have excellent organisational skills and good attention to detail. You should have a flexible, collaborative, and proactive attitude to work.

Application process

Informal enquiries about the role may be addressed to Dr Rachel Wood, ORAU Director ([email protected]). Enquiries about the application process may be addressed to [email protected].

Applications must be made online. You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application.
