    About This Opportunity

    An exciting opportunity for a Casual Orientation Assistant to help deliver Semester one orientation events for new students.

    Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in planning, coordinating, and delivering orientation events for commencing students.
  • Contributing to the development of orientation materials, coordinating event materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Providing on-site event support including assisting with event set-up, registration assistance and coordination of activities on orientation day, Thursday 15th February 2024.
  • Assisting with registration and communication with student and staff orientation volunteers
  • Assist in training and supporting orientation volunteers to facilitate small group activities and icebreakers.
  • Respond to inquiries from students, staff, and other stakeholders regarding orientation activities.
  • This is a casual position at HEW level 1, with an hourly rate in the range of $36.17 to $37.66, plus superannuation of 11%. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.

  • Experience in planning and delivering events, preferably student experience events
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a wider team
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable engaging with diverse groups of students and staff
  • Must be available to work during orientation day on Thursday 15th February 2024.
