    The CQUniversity Community Sports Centre located on the Rockhampton North campus, is a multi-functional centre, providing the community with use of an indoor gym, outdoor court, and tennis courts.

    We are currently seeking experienced, friendly and highly motivated Fitness Trainers on a casual basis (up to 30 hours per week) to share their fitness and nutrition knowledge with CQU Gym members.

    The duties of this role include exercise prescription and delivery for a range of diverse populations, leading group fitness classes, offering individualised programming and personal training to one-on-one clients, building client relationships and rapport, and assisting with basic business processes.

    Position Requirements
  • Minimum completion of a Certificate III in Fitness plus relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working within a gymnasium, with a proven ability to produce quality training programs and class instruction for clients.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively in a team-based environment to provide effective customer service to members.
  • Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety obligations, and a willingness to undertake tasks in accordance with these obligations.
  • Knowledge in the use of MS Office and associated gym database systems.
  • Certificate IV in Fitness desirable.
