  • The Opportunity

    The Monash University Accident Research Centre has an exciting opportunity to join our Human Factors and Sustainable Safety research team as a Casual Academic Research Assistant.

    The Research Assistant will provide support for the final stages of a study aimed at designing and evaluating an intervention to support drivers to understand and manage fatigue in the workplace. The position duties include data checking, extraction and help with analysis and report writing.

    This position requires strong attention to detail and familiarity working with data in SPSS, or similar packages. The ideal candidate will have the ability to run descriptive data analysis on survey responses, and analyses of longitudinal data (diary style). Experience with actigraphy data is also valuable as the position may require the checking of actigraphy data against sleep diary data and then subsequent extraction (using Circadia). Good writing skills are essential as the position will also involve contributing to the report writing.

    Candidates for this role should have, or be working towards, a Masters or PhD qualification.
