To operate the cash register and the debit/I.D. card meal verifier. Performs other general duties in the preparation and service of food on a routine basis and for special events,.

Principal Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities

Sets up the register, computer screen, addresses the necessary deposit envelopes and prepares the meal attendance report on a daily basis. Counts money and turns in deposit to the supervisor in charge.

Greets the Food Service patrons and directs them to their respective eating area. Answers related questions about Food Service's meal serving policies, hours, etc.

Operates the cash register and the debit/ID card meal verifier. Keeps an updated attendance record during the serving of the meal .

Assists in setting up the dining hall for meals.

Assists in cleaning the dining hall after each meal as well as general clean up.

Performs duties as required for special events and concessions.

Performs related work as required.

Previous experience with customer relations in a public service is required.

Cash register/drawer operations knowledge is desired.
