Salary Information Commensurate with experience. Department Summary
The Research Information Systems and Analytics department is a reporting, analysis, and project management organization within the UNTHSC Division of Research and Innovation, providing support for the Office of Sponsored Programs and Office of Research Compliance, as well as the Institutes and Centers at UNTHSC.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of information solutions containing financial and administrative data, working closely with the business to build and enhance their methods of reporting according to the overall data architecture.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years related experience in business intelligence or data analysis/visualization as well as project management or vendor management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Three years experience developing on leading BI tool (Qlikview, Birst, PowerBI, etc.) Data Warehouse/Architecture background Exceptional communication and attention to detail Background in using Lean principles, Agile processes and Kanban tools Ability to pull data via an Application Programming Interface (API) Experience working with PeopleSoft Experience working in an institution of Higher Education Strong data visualization skills using PowerBi or Tableau Strong SQL development skills using T-SQL or PL/SQL Strong background using in SSMS, and SSAS Data Warehouse/Architecture background Exceptional communication and attention to detail.

Job Duties
o
Serves as a thought leader and strong communicator with senior leaders, sponsors, peers, and suppliers to improve business decisions across a broad range of KPIs, leading multiple high impact data research and analysis projects, providing oversight and course-correction where required.

Serves as a project/program manager, vendor manager, and business liaison between the business and technical team, assisting during the design and deployment phases of projects to ensure requires meet business needs.
o
Partners with and consults senior business leaders to understand their business requirements, recommends and designs research and analysis to improve business performance.
o
Leverages big data to discover patterns and solve strategic and tactical analytic business problems using structured and unstructured data sets across several environments, developing models and processes that drive better outcomes for both customers and the institution.
o
Performs other duties as assigned.
