About the role

Academic Registry fulfils a dual role at the University by being an expert provider of fundamental University-wide academic services and being a dynamic influencer of academic policy.

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Academic Registry's Student Data & Statutory Reporting team.

The role of Business Intelligence Analyst will focus on providing accurate and meaningful analysis of data through visually engaging reports and dashboards that enable members across the University to measure performance and progress against strategic and operational goals.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will provide knowledge and innovation that supports the strategic vision of the department and will lead on reporting of all activity within the area of Student Data.

This role will involve engaging project work, with a priority within the first 12 months of reviewing timetable data structure and reporting opportunities. This project will require innovative solutions and forward-thinking stakeholder considerations and support.

The role is fixed term to start ASAP with an expected end date of 31/12/2024.

About You

As an expert in Microsoft PowerBI, you will be experienced in presenting large amounts of complex data using a variety of data visualisation techniques. You will be familiar with market leading business intelligence tools and hold a thorough understanding of Data Protection legislation.

An excellent communicator, you will be confident in working with a wide range of stakeholders to collect requirements and deliver solutions to meet needs whilst building strong working relationships.

You will be experience in providing guidance and training to others regarding systems and procedures, whilst make data accessible to a variety of audiences.

A creative and innovative thinker, you will work on projects, enhance procedures and continue to develop your personal knowledge and creative use of intelligence tools.
