    About the Role:

    The Business Development Consultant is pivotal to the continued growth of our distance learning programmes. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and consumer markets, with responsibility for effective customer journeys that meet student recruitment and revenue targets. You'll be an integral part of the Degrees at Work team, who are responsible for the promotion, engagement, and recruitment to a range of ARU's distance and work- based learning courses, including higher and degree apprenticeships.

    With a bachelor's degree and appropriate level of experience and evidence of continuing professional development or relevant professional qualification, you will have demonstrable experience in sales and customer services within higher education, working to recruitment targets and response KPIs. You will be a motivated and resourceful team player with excellent communication, writing, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be passionate about personal development and in guiding individuals in reaching their career aspirations.

    You should be prepared to travel to customer locations outside of ARU's core region. Some out of hours working (occasional evenings and weekends) may be required from time to time to support with recruitment events.
