A call for a Research Grant is open within the scope of the PAC project -
Portugal AutoCluster for the Future (Mobilizing Project for the Automotive
Cluster of Portugal), POCI-01-0247-FEDER-046095, funded by the European
Development Fund Regional (FEDER) through the Competitiveness and
Internationalization Operational Program (POCI), under the following
Scientific Area: Engineering on Computers, Telecommunications, Informatics,
Telemathics or equivalent.
Work plan: This grant aims to develop work within the scope of PPS4 – Sensing
and Connectivity Technologies of the Mobilizing Project for the Automotive
Cluster of Portugal. In particular, the grantee should develop work in the
areas of vehicular communications, access infrastructure and IoT integration,
communication systems and services related to safety in the roads and a safe
interaction between the vehicles and the vulnerable road users in the roads
(people, cyclists and motorcyclists).
Workplace: The work will be developed at the Instituto de Telecomunicações of
the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering,
under the scientific guidance of Professor Doutora Susana Isabel Barreto de
Duration of the fellowship: The fellowship will last for 12 months, starting
in September 2021, with possibility of renewal of more 6 months.
Deadline for application and submission of applications: The call is open from
the from 21st july to 3rd august 2021. Only applications being admitted within
the established deadline will be accepted.
Monthly maintenance subsidy amount: The scholarship amount corresponds to €
835.98, according to the table of monthly maintenance subsidy amounts, set out
in Annex I of Regulation No. 950/2019

Selection methods: The selection methods will be curriculum assessment and an
1) Curriculum Assessment, where the items mentioned below will be assessed,
with the respective valuation of:
- Bachelor degree classification (50%);
- Experience demonstrated in the CV about network communication concepts,
access infrastructure and IoT integration (40%);
- Motivation letter (10%).

The final score of each candidate is obtained through a weighted average, with
a 90% weighting factor being assigned to the curriculum evaluation grade and a
10% weighting factor to the interview session grade.

Advertising/notification of results: The final results of the evaluation will
be disseminated through a list ordered by final grade, posted on the
University's website, within a maximum period of 90 working days after the
final date of application submission, and the candidate approved will be
notified by email, with a period of 10 working days being set for the purpose
of prior hearing of interested parties, as predicted in the Code of
Administrative Procedure. At the end of the period established for hearing
interested parties and, in the absence of any response from them, the list of
candidates will become definitive. From the final decision, candidates may
submit an appeal within 15 working days, or appeal to the highest executive
body of the funding entity within 30 working days after notification of the
final decision, in accordance with the provisions of article 12 of the
Regulation of Research Grants of the Science and Technology Foundation.

Candidates who comply with the provisions of subparagraph a) of paragraph 1
