Bocconi University is looking for motivated and qualified talents in Economics, Business Administration or Management Engineering to fill 4 full-time positions as junior researchers in the field of sustainable transition. Junior researchers will be part of a stimulating and dynamic work environment , with the opportunity to take part in cutting-edge research activities on key sustainability challenges:

assessing climate change economic impacts and the effectiveness of mitigation and adaptation policies with a focus on water resources (12 months + possible extension) (call DISTENDER:IT, EN) (deadline: 9/12/23)

circular business models in the agri-food sector, with a focus on interactions with natural capital (9 months + possible extension) (call A2C: IT, EN) (deadline: 9/12/23)

business model innovation for energy communities (12 months + possible extension) (call MASTERPIECE: IT, EN) (deadline: 6/12/23)

innovative sustainable urban regeneration solutions, with a focus on nature-based solutions, circular economy, energy transition, and sustainable mobility (12 months + possible extension) (call MUSA: IT, EN) (deadline: 6/12/23)

Candidates need to possess permits that allow them to work in Italy by the date of application submission.

Salaries : in line with compensation standards for the required profiles, and as research grants they are tax-exempt.

The candidate should have the following proven competencies:

data analysis and interpretation;

use of statistical packages (e.g.: Stata, R, Python, etc.);

policy and environmental assessment;

ability to produce research reports and papers;

excellent knowledge of Italian and English (spoken and written);

availability to travel.

PhD or equivalent carried out in Italy or abroad is considered a preferential element.

Selection process

The competition will be carried out through an evaluation of titles and an examination, consisting of an interview.

The Committee can allocate a maximum of 100 points for each candidate, split as follows:

30 points for the evaluation of CV and academic titles;

30 points for the evaluation of scientific publications presented;

40 points for the evaluation by interview

In order to be admitted for the interview, candidates must receive a minimum of 40/100 points in the evaluation of titles and publications.
