This 0.5FTE post is available immediately on a fixed-term basis until 30 August 2024. The role holder will be expected to be onsite in the RILD building, RDUH NHS Foundation Trust site, for two days a week.
Interviews are expected to take place on Thursday 1st March via Teams.
Role summary
Working in partnership with colleagues across the region, the operations manager will provide tactical leadership on the development, delivery and integration of policies and protocols in the fast-moving area of undergraduate medicine. They will support the university's vision of high quality medical education delivered by a Russell Group university with a particular focus on student experience.
They will be expected to use experience gained in other roles, ideally from a wide-ranging management remit covering areas such as finance, compliance, quality assurance daily, taking informed decisions and communicating these effectively. This will enable them to identify and develop key contacts and networks to progress projects and initiatives.
As part of the Senior Management Team, the postholder will be expected to provide support, leadership and guidance to members of the wider team.

About you
You will have significant experience of completing or contributing to clearly defined operational projects, ideally within a large organisation and in a management context. You will ensure that good practice is shared and that a culture of continuous improvement is defined, adopted and refined in order to adhere to the highest standards of service delivery, alongside developing a high performance team culture. Knowledge of the structure and processes underpinning undergraduate medicine or experience of a regulated programme is essential.
This post will lead the BMBS programme team jointly with the permanent postholder during their period of 0.5FTE secondment. While the individual will have responsibility for the development of a discrete area of the BMBS programme, it will be essential that effective communication takes place within the management team in Wonford.
