environmental contaminants and biomarkers using mass spectrometry. The
Facility houses an AB Sciex 6500 mass spectrometer, Thermo TSQ mass
spectrometers, Agilent Q-TOF, Agilent 7500 ICP-MS, and UPLC/nano-LC systems.
Areas of focus for the Facility include characterization of chemical reaction
products, identification and quantitation of metabolites, quantitation of
environmental chemicals, measurement of DNA adducts, multi-element analysis
and arsenic speciation in numerous environmental and biological matrices.
The Biomarker Mass Spectrometry (MS) Research Scientist provides leadership
and direction in the management of research and experiential learning
activities that involve the MS laboratory. He/she supports the instructional
and research mission of the Department through faculty and student engagement
by providing support, consultation and expertise in analytical chemistry
