We are seeking to appoint a Bioinformatician to join the Big Data Institute, University of Oxford.

You will be responsible to conduct detailed analysis of datasets, integrating -omic and clinical data, in order to generate predictive models of allograft function, and develop new biological insights into the mechanisms of kidney transplant success and failure. You will collaborate as part of a multi- disciplinary team across all ADMIRE project stakeholders towards shared objectives. You will work with colleagues in the Big Data Institute, Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences and NHS Blood and Transplant to develop methodologies for analysis and data collection, and contribute to the overall planning of studies. You will also participate in, and contribute directly to, scientific discussions with colleagues, including regular team meetings to discuss ongoing work, along with contribute to manuscripts, presentations and other means of disseminating results.

It is essential that you hold a PhD (or close to completion) in a relevant subject, such as bioinformatics or clinical statistical modelling. Experience with statistical and predictive modelling, writing well documented code and using version control software such as git is also required. You will have experience with -omics or big data statistical analysis, particularly proteomics. Excellent written and spoken communication skills is essential.
